Background

Joining the loss adjusting industry in 1978, he has established a wide range of general adjusting work, and is well verse in local and foreign companies operations in Malaysia. He joined the company in 1984 as a Manager in our Kuala Lumpur office where he gained experienced in handling contractors / erection all risks claims and major fire losses.
He was the Team Leader / Coordinator for the Pergau Hydro Electric Project, Malaysian Rural Water Supply Scheme, Kuala Lumpur International Airport Project, National Sports Complex Project and Sprint Highway Project. In the Pergau Hydro Electric Project and Malaysian Rural Water Supply Scheme, he has successfully managed over 350 and 180 claims respectively.

He was also involved in claims in other projects notably the Kenyir Dam, Penang Bridge, Express Rail Link, KL PRT Monorail, Indah Water Konsortium and Bakum Dam, TSH Bio Power, Kino Bio Power, etc.

In 1986, he was seconded to Johor Bahru to assist in the starting up of our Johor Bahru office. He returned to Kuala Lumpur office in the following year and continued to lead a team of experienced adjusters in the handling of large losses, apart from general management and accounts servicing.

The large fire and business interruption claims handled by him include the following:

  • RM12 million direct selling company
  • RM40 million bonded warehouse
  • RM50 million paper mill
  • RM50 million plastic products factory
  • RM60 million integrated Taiwanese manufacturer of gloves, plastic and wood products
  • RM60 million bonded warehouse
  • RM70 million fibreboard factory
  • RM90 million lead frame manufacturer

He is currently the General Manager in charge of Technical Services and handles most of the large fire and business interruption claims on national basis.
